No chance of cork taint, spoiled or ‘corked’ wine.
When wine is corked it means the wine has reacted with a chemical compound called TCA in the cork.
It means the wine will taste like vinegar and is pretty nasty.
Screwcaps don’t have this problem, so many premium producers are using them now.
In Australia only 1 in 100 bottles use cork. Even the
most expensive wines now have screwcaps.
